Nicola Edmonds
Principal Psychologist/ Clinical director
Nicola Edmonds started her career in the disability sector in 2014, moving into the out of home care space in 2016. Nicola is the clinical director of Edmonds Psychology which opened it’s doors on the Central Coast 2021 providing accessible mental health treatment for individuals with a variety of needs. Nicola has extensive experience working with the most vulnerable individuals in our community working with disability agencies, child protection and out of home care organisations. Nicola has extensive experience working with complex mental health presentations, supporting individuals who are at risk of suicide and survivors of domestic violence, sexual abuse and traumatic experiences. She has a strong clinical interest supporting individuals with personality disorders. Nicola provides authentic, non-judgmental evidence based psychological treatment inclusive of EMDR and behaviour support interventions.
In addition to therapy work, Nicola has years of experience in providing neuro-affirming assessments helping people understand their strengths and challenges. Nicola prides herself in providing comprehensive neurodiverse assessments exploring ADHD, Autism, PTSD and Intellectual Disabilities.
Nicola is an approved supervisor with the Australian Practitioner Health Regulation and can provide provisional psychologist’s clinical supervision on their pathway to registration. She also provides organisations clinical supervision in regard to trauma informed clinical practises and high risk complex clinical presentations. She is an associate member of Australian Psychological society and currently sits on the local Central Coast APS board as Chair of the local committee.
When Nicola is not working she enjoys spending time at the gym and being an active part of her local community.
Nicole Boeckx
Provisional Psychologist / Trauma informed clinician
Nicole has always been fascinated by human behaviour and understanding the complex interaction between our brains and our behaviours.
Nicole has extensive experience working with vulnerable young people in the out of home care sector and it is from her work in this space that she developed a real passion for advocating and supporting people who have experienced trauma within their lives. Since starting at Edmonds Psychology as a provisional psychologist in early 2023, Nicole has worked with a number of children, young people and adults to help them enhance their wellbeing. Nicole's approach is warm, non-judgmental and neuro-affirming. Nicole is committed to providing evidenced based interventions that allows an individual to flourish within their unique selves.
Nicole holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychological Science and master’s degree in Professional Psychology. She currently is undertaking the 5+1 registration pathway to be an endorsed registered psychologist.
Nicole has a strong interest within clinical assessments.
When she is not working she enjoys spending time with friends and family, travelling and binge watching shows on Netflix.
Rebecca Burgess
Provisional Psychologist/ Trauma informed clinician
Rebecca has experience volunteering with Lifeline as a digital crisis supporter. Her role within Lifeline provides immediate short-term support to children, adolescents and adults to cope with crisis and distress. Rebecca is committed to empowering and supporting individuals who are at risk of suicide. Rebecca has a strong interest in providing high-risk evidenced-based interventions.
She has a particular interest in children and teens.
Rebecca is passionate about creating a safe and enriching space for individuals in her care. Rebecca's approach is neuro-affirming and guided by her values of empathy and respect.

Rebecca holds a bachelor's degree in Psychological Science from Southern Cross University and is completing her master's degree in Professional Psychology at Western Sydney University.
Rebecca enjoys training her two dogs, Kylo and Kenshi, and occasionally participating in dog shows with them, and catching up with friends and family.
Ray Cornwell
Registered Psychologist / Trauma informed clinician
Ray started his career within the disability sector, supporting children and young people with neurodivergent presentations and behavioural challenges. He spent 5 years within the disability sector before moving into the Out of Home Care space. Ray for the last 5 years predominantly supports the clinical programs within residential care, supporting young people with complex mental health presentations and trauma. Ray has extensive experience in child protection and high-risk presentations.
Ray is passionate about providing meaningful and person-centered intervention and support, with a focus on supporting clients to find and develop their own motivation to achieve positive long-term outcomes. Ray has a deep appreciation for being able to slow down and work with his clients in the space in which they are, using a multiple-lens approach, incorporating systems theory, narrative therapy, CBT, and DBT skills.
Ray holds a Bachelor of Psychology from the University of Newcastle, completed in 2017, and is a registered general psychologist.
In his free time, Ray enjoys a wide range of hobbies and is often described as a collector of skills. From circus arts and fire twirling to Latin dance, parkour, photography, and athletics, Ray has a passion for both learning and sharing knowledge.
Tegan Flint
Administration Support
Tegan has extensive customer service experience as a qualified insurance broker, spending the last 10 years supporting individuals and leading management teams in Sydney. After having two beautiful children she has decided to make a change with her career into an area she is passionate about psychology. Tegan's role is providing administrative support to our clinicians and clinical administration. Her office hours are Wednesday and Thursday 8am to 2:30pm.
When Tegan is not at work, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and being outdoors camping.
